You’re engaged, now what?

First of all, congratulations!

It’s such an incredible and exciting time and I hope you enjoy every moment.

If I am available for your big day, we can either lock it in, or we can catch up so that you and your fiancé can make sure I am the right celebrant for you! This would be an obligation free meeting either over zoom, on the phone or in person. We can have a chat about what sort of ceremony would best reflect the relationship you have with your fiancé! I will also talk to you about the legal paperwork that you will need to fill out prior to the ceremony.

Planning Meeting

We'll catch up to plan the ceremony. At this meeting we'll get to know each other. I want to know how you met, what you love about each other and what are your future plans together?! I can show you how we can structure the ceremony, and work together to build at outline to set the tone for your wedding! My style is very relaxed and fun but I can cater to whatever your dream ceremony is! We will laugh and cry happy tears on the day.

This meeting needs to occur at least 31 days before your wedding and during it we will complete the necessary administration tasks. I will need to sight your original Birth Certificates or Passports.
(I will cover these requirements with you on the phone or via email before the meeting as well.)

If you are from interstate or overseas, all of these interviews can happen over the phone or via email, and you can post me a witnessed Notice of Intended Marriage form at least 31 days before your wedding day.

Ceremony Crafting

I will prepare the first draft of your ceremony and send it to you. We can make as many changes as you like. I can also help you write your vows.

Your Big Day

On the day I’ll arrive 30 minutes prior to the ceremony with my PA system (if you require), and be ready to create the best atmosphere for your special day!

I will also bring a nice pen for you to sign your documents.

What happens after the wedding?

I take care of the legal side of things! I’ll lodge the paperwork with Births, Deaths and Marriages.

If you would like to apply for your official Marriage Certificate, I can refer you to Births, Deaths and Marriages. The Marriage Certificate you sign on the day is not an official certificate, and can’t be used to change your name.
